About Us

What started as an AI hackathon idea has evolved into Oxipit – a trusted leader in AI-powered radiology. From our first CE-certified solution to the world’s first autonomous AI application for healthy chest X-ray reporting, Oxipit has continuously advanced the role of AI in medical imaging.

Today, as part of Sectra, Oxipit’s innovations complement one of the world’s leading enterprise imaging platforms, helping healthcare providers integrate trusted AI into clinical workflows worldwide.[

Oxipit’s journey began in 2017 at an innovative AI hackathon, where a team of medical and data science experts united to address a growing global challenge: the shortage of radiologists. Driven by a shared vision to improve patient care, they quickly developed a prototype that would evolve into Oxipit ChestEye, an AI solution designed to improve efficiency in medical imaging workflows.

In 2019, Oxipit ChestEye received CE certification, enabling it to generate preliminary reports for 75 chest X-ray findings. This milestone laid the foundation for the next generation of Oxipit solutions. The team remained focused on the future of radiology, developing AI that could integrate seamlessly into existing workflows, helping radiologists focus their expertise where it is needed most.

In April 2022, Oxipit made headlines worldwide with the launch of ChestLink, the world’s first CE Class IIb-certified autonomous AI application for healthy chest X-ray reporting. ChestLink safely identifies normal studies and generates final reports without radiologist involvement when no abnormalities are detected, helping healthcare providers streamline workflows and manage growing imaging volumes.

In 2026, Oxipit became part of Sectra, bringing its pioneering radiology AI technology into a global organization dedicated to improving patient care through innovation in medical imaging. By combining advanced AI capabilities with Sectra’s extensive expertise in enterprise imaging and healthcare IT, healthcare providers gain access to integrated solutions designed to support efficient, high-quality diagnostic workflows.
